"Why did we choose Leweston - because it was a school that wears its heart on its sleeve and didn't pretend to be something it wasn't. We liked the ethos of kindness whilst challenging the children to always do better."

Learning That Inspires and Engages

Our innovative, topic-based curriculum sparks curiosity and builds real-world skills, connecting subjects through central themes each term. With themes like “Utopia and Dystopia,” pupils engage with thought-provoking texts and real-world issues, guided by our bespoke Leweston Learner programme which nurtures resilience, collaboration, and global citizenship. Pupils learn to think critically, solve problems, and work independently, gaining a broad, future-ready education that prepares them for life beyond exams.

Children at Leweston benefit from a healthy, active lifestyle, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and physical activity. From exploring our extensive grounds to participating in sports, riding at the Leweston Chedington Riding Academy, or joining Pentathlon GB training, every child is encouraged to discover new talents and build teamwork skills. Our wrap-around care and flexible boarding options provide support for busy families, ensuring a seamless school experience that fits modern life.

A Community That Feels Like Family

Leweston Prep is more than just a school—it’s a deeply welcoming community where every child is valued and every family feels at home. Our attentive staff know each pupil as an individual, supporting their wellbeing and personal growth. We celebrate effort as much as achievement, help build lasting friendships, and foster a sense of belonging that extends far beyond the classroom. Our strong traditions combine with modern teaching to create an environment where children thrive.
