A New Adventure Every Day — Come and See It For Yourself
We know there’s a better way for children to grow, one where learning is an adventure and progress matters more than perfection. At Leweston Prep, every day brings new ideas, new discoveries and new confidence. Our topic-based curriculum, small year groups and caring staff mean your child is known, encouraged and inspired.
The best way to understand Leweston Prep is to walk through the door while school is in full swing.
We run Visit Weeks throughout the academic year when we open our classrooms, our outdoor spaces, and our community to families who want to see what genuinely child-centred education looks like.
Our Visit Week dates for 2026-27 will be coming soon but, in the meantime you are still welcome. Book your personal visit by completing the form on this page with your preferred date and time. Our Registrar, Mrs Wilson, will be in touch promptly to confirm the details and answer any initial questions.
What to expect during your visit
During your visit you will:
- Tour our beautiful campus and step into real lessons to see learning in action.
- Meet the Head of Prep to talk about Leweston’s approach, your child’s interests and future ambitions.
- Meet our teachers and pupils to find out how we personalise education for every child.
- Experience our warm, welcoming community and explore what’s available beyond the classroom – from clubs and trips to sport, music and riding.
We recommend allowing at least 90 minutes for your visit. Please arrive around five minutes early to complete a short registration and get settled before your tour begins. Your visit is relaxed and informal, there’s no obligation to register, just a chance to see whether Leweston feels right for your family.

"“Why did we choose Leweston? Because it was a school that wears its heart on its sleeve and didn’t pretend to be something it wasn’t. We liked the ethos of kindness whilst challenging the children to always do better.”"

Questions families often ask
What makes Leweston Prep different from other schools?
Leweston Prep offers a truly personalised education, focusing on each child’s unique strengths and interests. We prioritise progress over perfection, provide a broad range of opportunities, and maintain a warm, inclusive community where every student is known and valued.
What age groups do you cater for?
Leweston Prep welcomes boys and girls aged 5 to 11. For younger children, our outstanding Nursery offers care and early education from 3 months to 4 years, providing a smooth pathway into Reception and beyond.
How does Leweston support busy family life?
We offer free wrap-around care from 8:00am to 5:45pm, flexible boarding options and daily minibus routes. Many pupils complete homework at school, so evenings and weekends can be kept for family time and activities.
What opportunities are available outside the classroom?
Children can join a wide variety of clubs, sports and activities – including riding, swimming, music, drama, art, STEM and outdoor pursuits. We believe in developing the whole child, encouraging pupils to try new things and follow their interests.
