A Leweston Scholarship opens doors. Scholars join an ambitious community of high-achievers, gaining access to specialist coaching, mentoring, masterclasses, and performance opportunities that go far beyond the classroom. Each scholarship carries a £1,500 annual award and families needing additional support can apply for a bursary alongside, with scholarship candidates prioritised.
Scholarships are available for pupils joining Year 9 (13+) and Sixth Form (16+), and are open to both current Leweston pupils and external candidates.
Academic Scholarships
For students who demonstrate outstanding academic ability and intellectual curiosity, assessments and interviews form part of the application process.
Art, Drama & Music Scholarships
For creatively gifted students who show passion and promise in the performing or visual arts. Applicants may be asked to present a portfolio, audition, or perform.
Sport Scholarships
For students with exceptional sporting talent and commitment. With dedicated scholarship for Equestrian and Pentathlon.
We award scholarships to pupils who don't just excel in their discipline, they lead, inspire, and contribute.
Key Dates
Sixth Form (16+) - Deadline: 10 November 2026, Assessment days: Monday 23 & Tuesday 24 November 2026
Year 9 (13+) - Deadline: 5 January 2027, Assessment days: Monday 19 & Tuesday 20 January 2027
Candidates must be available on the relevant assessment dates.

Yes — all candidates must be registered with the school before submitting a scholarship application.
What year groups can apply?

What is the scholarship worth?
Each scholarship, with exception of Academic, carries a £1,500 annual fee remission, awarded until the end of Sixth Form. The Academic Award is a £3,500 annual fee remission.
Can I apply for a bursary as well?
Yes. Families requiring financial support can apply for a bursary alongside a scholarship. Scholarship candidates are prioritised in bursary assessments.
