Find out what Sixth Form feels like
Shortlisted · Independent School of the Year for Careers Advice 2025 & 2026
A full day at Leweston — taster lessons, real students, lunch with current Sixth Form students, and a team challenge to finish. Open to all current Year 10 students, whether you're thinking about day or boarding.
This isn’t a formal tour or presentation — it’s a chance to experience Sixth Form life for yourself.
You’ll join taster lessons alongside current students, meet our Sixth Form tutors, and chat informally over lunch with those already studying here. In the afternoon, you’ll take part in a team challenge across the site — including an inflatable assault course.
It’s all designed to give you a genuine feel for what life at Leweston Sixth Form is really like.

Independent thinking and individual support — from day one of sixth form
Leweston Sixth Form welcomes students from schools across the area. You'll be fully part of the Sixth Form, the teaching, the activities, the community.
-
Small teaching groups: At A Level, a group of eight is a genuinely different experience. Your teachers know how you think and teach accordingly.
- A broad subject choice: With a wide range of subjects and A Level and BTEC options, study the combination that's right for you. Apply early and have the timetable built for you.
- Independence, with a safety net: You'll be treated as an adult and given the freedom to work that way but in a Sixth Form small enough that no one slips through the net. If you need more support, you won't have to ask twice.
- University preparation built in: Personal statement support, interview preparation, and independent thinking built into the Sixth Form experience from the start.
A Sixth Form that prepares you for what comes next
Boarding at Leweston in the Sixth Form is designed to build independence, the kind that makes a real difference when students arrive at university. We offer five boarding models, so there is a version that works for you.
Five ways to board: Choose from full (with flexible weekends), or a range of flexi options with regular commitment or access whenever you want it. We work with you to find the model that fits.
Real preparation for university: Managing your own time, living alongside peers, building independence, boarding develops the habits that university expects from day one.
50 acres on your doorstep: Equestrian facilities, sports pitches and open Dorset countryside, all part of the campus.
Tour the boarding house on the day: Sign up during lunch to see the Sixth Form boarding house, meet the houseparents, and ask the questions that matter to you.
