Come and see what Leweston is really like

Leweston Open Afternoon | Friday 25 September 2026

Join us for an afternoon where your family can experience Leweston first-hand — across our Prep, and Senior and Sixth Form while you meet our staff and current students.

Friday 25 September · 1.30pm · Leweston School, Sherborne, Dorset, DT9 6EN

Our Open Afternoon on Friday 25 September at 1.30pm gives you a real sense of Leweston during a typical school day — lessons in progress, pupils engaged, staff available to answer your questions.

You'll meet our Head, tour the facilities from Prep through to Sixth Form, and see how we support children across day and boarding options.

Many families tell us they came to look around and left with clarity about where their child belongs.

Who should attend?

Our Open Afternoon on Friday 25 September at 1.30pm welcomes all families with children aged 5 to 18. Whether your child is in Reception, preparing for Year 7 or Year 9 entry, or considering Sixth Form, you'll see how Leweston supports academic ambition and personal growth across every age group. Parents tell us that visiting the school in session—seeing our pupils engaged in lessons, sports, and creative activities—gives them the clearest picture of daily life here. We look forward to meeting you and answering your questions in person.

What to Expect at Our Open Afternoon

You'll have the opportunity to visit our campus, meet our staff, and see first-hand what makes Leweston the right choice for your family. Walk through our facilities, from our co-educational Prep department to our Senior School and Sixth Form.

You'll see our BHS Approved equestrian facilities, tour our classrooms where small group sizes ensure every pupil receives the attention they deserve, and learn about our designation as a GB Modern Pentathlon Talent Hub. Most importantly, you'll get a feel for the supportive, down-to-earth community that has been helping young people aged 3 to 18 grow in confidence for over a century.
